No more superferry.

I am a ham

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

I got my ham radio license today!

I told my neighbors I was a “ham”, and they looked at me for a minute and said, “You’ve always been a ham”.

St. Patty’s Day

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

The one day a year I blend in!

It was a fun day. Mom and David and I met up at Gordon Biersch and watched some Irish Dancers and listened to some Irish music.

The bartender told me I looked authentic and I told him I was actually Italian but not to tell. Later he realized I was Italian and Irish, and then Mom walked in and he realized he’s known my parents for years. It was pretty good.

And I got through the whole day without doing a jig! FINALLY!

Michelle and Gaston had their baby!!

Freecreditreport.com

I love these commercials. I really do. They’re catchy, they’re funny and I feel like the main singer and I would be friends.

But the credit reports aren’t free! That makes me angry. I feel… betrayed. By my potential friend.

Good commercials should only be allowed for good products.

Good night.

David’s Birthday

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

David’s birthday was on Thursday.  He’s 30!

Our first choice was to be celebrating at Sunset in Alston with everyone, but it was still an awesome day. We met up for the Thursday evening “meeting” with Mom and Dad’s gang at the Charthouse and then went upstairs to Sarento’s at the top of the Ilikai.  It was delicious.

The Ilikai by the way is where the opening to Hawaii 5-0 was filmed. Where the guy is on the balcony.

But anyway, I digress. It was a good birthday.  He’s catching up. Someday we’ll be the same age.

On a different note I get to go to Kauai again on Monday. For work this time though. It won’t be as fun.

I know I still owe you pictures! I haven’t forgotten I swear.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Susie Who called me this morn,

To say it’s time to play.

To scream and leap and

Dance and sing

To celebrate this day.

I will not play,

I told Sue Who.

I will not leap or dance.

You can’t make me jump or sing.

I will not even prance.

But why she said?

Why won’t you leap

In joy with me this day?

Dr. Seuss was born

And so were we

In our own special way.

Without the Doc

There’d be no you

No me, no Sam no little Whos.

No ‘Ville, No Horton

Or the Who

No Lorax or a sneech!

No Sneech I said!?

That would be sad!

You’re right, I’m wrong

All would be mad!

The Butter Battle would be lost,

The turtle heap would fall.

Sam would eat no eggs OR ham

There’d be no fun at all.

Cats would be hatless

And fish would be blue.

The forest would be gone

Just like the Lorax, me and you.

So thank you Theo

For your books,

Your mind,

Your colors too.

Your Grinch, Your Sam,

Yertle and yes,

You, Miss Susie Q Who.
